Pull clean live into OBS → YouTube / web

For small newsrooms: ingest Nexpher’s licensed clean feed, dress it in OBS, then restream to your audience. Same pattern wires use — stream URL in, your brand out.

  1. 1

    Get your licensed link

After you license the event, Nexpher CES sends a private URL like https://videos.nexpherimages.com/live/licensed?token=…. Bookmark it. Do not use the public Live Hub — that feed is a watermarked preview only.
  2. 2

    Copy the clean HLS URL

Open your licensed page while the event is on air. Your clean stream URL looks like:
    https://videos.nexpherimages.com/live-hls-clean/live/nexpher-1/index.m3u8?token=YOUR_TOKEN

Keep the ?token= query — without it the proxy returns 403. Treat the token like a password; don’t post it publicly.

  3. 3

    Pull the feed into OBS

Recommended for reliability: install VLC and use a VLC Video Source (OBS plugin) or Media Source if your OBS build plays HLS.

    1. OBS → Sources → + → Media Source (or VLC Video Source).
    2. Uncheck “Local file”.
    3. Paste the clean HLS URL (with token).
    4. Enable Restart playback when source becomes active / loop as needed for live.
    5. Click OK. You should see the clean Nexpher picture (no Hub watermark).

Fallback: add a Browser Source pointed at your licensed player page (full URL with token). Easier, but higher lag and browser chrome — fine for tests, not ideal for air.

  4. 4

    Add your graphics

In OBS, stack sources above the Nexpher feed: logo, lower thirds, tickers, studio cam, commentary audio. Mute or mix as needed. This is your station look — Nexpher supplies the clean field picture.
  5. 5

Go live to YouTube or your site

YouTube: OBS → Settings → Stream → Service: YouTube / YouTube – RTMPS → paste stream key from YouTube Studio → Start Streaming.

Your website: stream to your usual RTMP ingest (Mux, Cloudflare Stream, Wowza, self-hosted) and embed that player on the site — same as any other OBS broadcast.

Expect several seconds of delay from Nexpher’s LL-HLS pull, plus OBS and YouTube latency. For tighter broadcast desks we can offer RTMP/SRT pull later.

Checklist

  • Use clean URL + token — never the public Hub preview for air.
  • Keep the token private; rotate via Nexpher if it leaks.
  • Confirm your license covers YouTube / web restream.
  • Test OBS pull before the event window.
  • Usage meter on the licensed page is a mock until billing ships.
